- They were sitting in a cabin erected at the foot of a reinforced concrete retaining wall when part of the wall fell away, burying them. The wall was built to retain a dirt heap and was 12 inches thick for a height of 18 feet from a point 4 feet from the ground with a batter against the dirt of 1 in 3.5. The wall was built up in horizontal sections and gave way at a horizontal joint for want of sufficient tying and cohesion of the adjoining sections for a length of 50 yards along the wall. 2 killed.
