- 6 September 1921: Accident At Bowhill - A bad accident befel John Adamson, who resides with his parents at West Cottages, Bowhill. While employed in No 1 Pit, Bowhill, a large stone fell from the roof, crushing him severely about the body. After being examined by the doctor he was removed to Dunfermline and West Fife Hospital. It is feared that his spine is affected. Adamson's father recently received injuries to his foot at the brickworks some months ago that necessitated amputation. [Dunfermline Journal 3 September 1921]
