Details of Event
Deceased's working place was a small "robbery," 7 feet high, and only 4 feet wide. The place was apparently well timbered, but a big slice of clay slipped away from a sandy parting, previously unsuspected, at a point 6 feet from the face, and displaced two sets of timber. Deceased was caught as he was trying to escape. As it happened he would have been safe had he remained at the face.
