Fall of roof and side (rock and shale) while repairing a road in an inclined cross measure drift from shallow to yard coal. The men ware assisting to repair a large fall about 6 yards long and nearly 30ft. high, caused by a runaway tub (through a broken coupling) knocking out the timber. Before the repairs were completed a further fall took place, knocking out the newly set posts and girders and burying the two men.
