- Farrimond was building a pack 3 feet 9 inches from coal face, when a piece of coal and dirt 8 feet long and 4 feet high, and from 3 inches to 18 inches thick, fell over from the face from off a slip in the coal, and struck him on the abdomen inflicting injuries from which lie died on 25th instant. The falling coal displaced a prop set close up to the coal face.
