He was on the top of a trestle of a ropeway assisting to replace the rope on a pulley. The rope was being lifted by a pulley block secured to a pitch pine batten the batten broke and the deceased, who had hold of the rope, lost his balance and fell to the ground a distance of 30 feet and was fatally injured.
