- 21 August 1917: Accident At Lassodie Mill – James Fairfield, Kingseat and a lad named Richard Jackson, Miller's Buildings, Kelty, were injured while at work in Lassodie Mill Colliery on Tuesday morning by a fall from the roof. Fairfield was taken home after being attended to by Dr Keay, while the lad, whose condition was more serious, was removed to Dunfermline and West Fife Hospital. [Dunfermline Journal 25 August 1917]
