Fall of side (coal) in an opening in the thick coal. A fault ran along one side of the opening against which a rib of coal about 6 feet thick had been left. After the coal had been dropped to the white coal by the firing of three shots on the side opposite the fault and the men had resumed work the coal left against the fault fell into the opening killing Emms and injuring two others.
