Deceased was breaking a way a narrow place to be driven through the rib in the Thick Coal. In taking down some top coal he bared a slip and a block of coal 6 ft by 3ft by 2ft came away exposing a second and parallel slip which was over on the edge of the rib. Neither slip was seen prior to the accident. Deceased and the doggy examined the place a few minutes before.
