Deceased had finished his work and was proceeding up a travelling road towards the pit bottom. On reaching a point where the road was rather steep he slipped and fell, slightly bruising his leg. He reported it at the pit top, and went off home without having it treated with antiseptic wash as proposed. Septic poisoning occurred and he gradually sank and died on December 8th.
