- Deceased had fired a shot in the face, and was winding the cable at the edge of the ripping in a Jig brow, about 7 yards back from the face, when a portion of roof coal fell upon him causing fatal injuries. The coal fell from a slip in the roof displacing one prop at the canch of the ripping.
