- He was on a platform 7ft. 6ins. from the ground level oiling the bell cranks of a pumping engine, a duty he had performed daily for twenty years when he slipped form the unfenced side of the platform next to the crank and he fell to the crank sole plate at the ground level fracturing his breastbone. He died 5th June.
