- Deceased and another were taking off a narrow cut off the stone and had bared an upthrow 2ft. 6ins. It was not intended to continue the cut across the hitch and the men were allowed to work for the day until another place was prepared for them. Deceased was holing on the bench for hitch when a stone 7ft. 6ins. at by 5ft 6ins at extremes and 3ft in thickness suddenly fell from the roof causing injuries from which he succumbed five hours afterwards. The special distance for propping under Special Rule 6 did not appear to have been adhered to.
