25 September 1942: Fife Colliery Fatality - David Duncan (68), colliery underground inspector, was killed by a fall of coal in Alice Pit, Fordell Colliery, Fife, to-day. Deceased, who had been 40 years in the colliery, is survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter. He lived in Alexander Street. Cowdenbeath. [Evening Telegraph 25 September 1942] NAS FAI.
