Details of Event
Driver was on a ledge 17 feet wide. He knew that earth was about to fall from the free but thinking only a small quantity would fall he and his mates merely stepped backwards towards the edge of the ledge. However, about two tons fell and some of it striking Driver hurled him to the bottom of the quarry.
