Details of Event
Deceased and his mate were sent to fire a shot in a gateway canch, the previous shot having been fired 3 weeks before. Whilst drilling, a large stone from the side fell on to deceased, inflicting severe injuries, from which he died the same day in the hospital. The stone at the place was full of slips and coal pipings, and hence weak.
