He was travelling inbye to work with other men and when they got to the engine plane they saw a set of tubs coming outbye. All except deceased got into refuge holes he went forward and was caught and so severely injured that he died the following day. He afterwards told a trammer that he was hurrying to get one of four empty tubs left in the pass-bye.
