3 March 1929: Crossgates Miner's Death - The death took place in Dunfermline and West Fife Hospital last Sunday morning of Mr Samuel Donaldson (50), miner, Dunfermline Road, Crossgates. Mr Donaldson, who was well known in the district, had been off his work for some time following an accident in the pit, and had only resumed work two days when he took a haemorrhage. He was conveyed to the Hospital, where he died. He is survived by a widow and daughter. [Dunfermline Journal 9 March 1929]
