Roof fall. A Stirling miner met his death under tragic circumstances in No.2 Pit, Millhall Colliery, on Monday forenoon. He was James Docherty (51), St John Street, Stirling, who had returned to work a few days previously after having been off with a foot injury. A fall took place from the roof, fatally injuring Docherty. A native of Denny, deceased had been employed at MilIhall for two years. He is survived by a widow and family. (Stirling Observer).
