He was filling coals which had been hewn from the bottom seam below the dirt hand, when the dirt and top coal fell over a length of 13 feet and for a width of about 3 feet. A bottom coal post or sprag appeared to leave been reeled against a harrow rib of coal at the bord, and also a prop set to the roof near the face, but there was no direct evidence of any other timber being set.
