Deceased was sitting on his cracket kirving in the Yard seam in a longwall face when a stone fell upon him and he was found dead by the putter. The kirving here is done next the roof in the top of the seam. The place had been properly inspected by officials before the accident. The Local Inspectors reported 'We are of opinion that it has teen an accident that could not have been foreseen.'.
