An empty set had gone into a landing, the haulage was taken by main rope, and he took the rope off and attached it to the first tub of a full set and then shouted to a boy close by to signal to the engineman to take the set away. This was done there had been two yards of slack rope and when it tightened he was tripped up and fell with his thigh on the rail and it was fractured. Died 1st Oct.
