- Details of Event
- Fall of top coal at the face in the Old coal. He was working alone and the fall occurred when the man in the next stall was having food back in the road. Missing deceased’s light this man went to see and found him under the fall which he heard whilst he was taking his meal, but took no notice of. The place seemed to have been fairly well secured, and it is thought that deceased must have knocked out a sprag to get down sufficient coal to fill his tub which was nearly full.
