Inspection made. Deceased was over the railway lines in the course of his employment when they were being lowered to the screens when he got his foot fast in the crossing and it was severely crushed by waggon knocking him over. He was removed to the Wigan Infirmary where his leg was amputated. Blood poisoning supervened and he expired June 13th 1903.
