Details of Event
As the last tram of coal was being raised, before sending up the men, at the end of the shift, a shackle which had been sent up on the top of the full tram, fell off and down the shaft. The shackle first fell on the top of the cage at bottom of shaft, then it struck deceased and another man who were waiting at the pit bottom. Died July 11th, 1913.
