An empty train of tubs, instead of proceeding along a straight on road at a junction, fouled the points and ran round the curve. The deceased neglected to go beyond a fence according to custom, and whilst endeavouring to get to a place of safety, was caught by the tubs and killed. One of the switches had either slipped out of position or the deceased boy's work-mate had forgotten to place the switches in the correct position.
