Deceased was engaged in a stall in the Eight-feet seam, taking a rate of coal off the face, when suddenly a heavy fall of roof occurred. It fell from three unseen slips and a break, and a piece 3 feet 3 inches by 2 feet 3 inches by 1 foot 3 inches struck him on the lower part of the back and fractured his spine. He died June, 21st, 1912. At least one, more post should have, been set to comply with the timbering rule of the Colliery.
