Details of Event
Deceased was killed by a fall of roof in a heading in the ironstone. Three shots bad been fired, the last one 25 minutes before the accident. A portion of roof about 4ft. long, 3ft. wide, and 17 ins. thick was overhanging and deceased had tried to get it down without Success. It was surmised that he had left and commenced to work on loose stone at the face when the fall occurred.
