Inquiry made and inquest attended. They were winding water out of a sinking pit 75 yards deep and deceased was in the bottom for filling the water barrels when one which had been stopped as usual five yards from the bottom, was lowered by deceased's order, and somehow he got fatally struck by the barrel and was found with his skull fractured.
