- Fall of roof (stone) at working face of pillar workings in New Mine clay seam. A slice had been taken off a pillar between two headings and the place was just finished. The fall came from a slip, and was between the last post set in the working place and other posts in the heading up to which it had been driven a distance of 7 feet 6 inches. If another post had been set it would probably have prevented the accident.
