One end of the fall caught deceased and fractured his neck his mate, though partially covered by the fall, escaped unhurt. The fall came from between two parallel slips converging upwards, one of 'which extended into the roof from the back of the rate of coal, and into which the holing had penetrated. Two bars and a prop and lid were reeled out by the fall.
