- Details of Event
- Fall of roof at his working face in the Old Coal Seam from two unseen slants. He had set a post within one foot of the slants which appear to have been concealed by a scale of clod or coal. The distances fixed under Special Rule 2 are 8 feet and 7 feet, and these might well be reduced with a view to prevention of this class of accident, and thus give effect to the intention of the Special Rules.
