- Details of Event
- Deceased and a collier worked alone on the night of the accident in a heading rising 3ins. per yard. They had been ripping roof, and required to change the full tram. The collier shouted to deceased to stand clear and started the tram to run down controlled by 4 sprags, and by him holding back. When it reached the level, deceased was found between the corner of the tram and the lower rib. It looks to me as if deceased had been walking down in front of the tram, holding it back, and got overpowered.
