Deceased was engaged on a ledge 8 feet from the ground level using a pick to raise soft sandstone, when an irregularly bedded piece of sandstone fell out of a pocket in the face of the quarry immediately above him. He sustained a comminuted fracture of the left leg and internal injuries, from the effects of which he died on the same day.
