Details of Event
While a loaded coal waggons was being removed by him from under a screen it struck against another standing on the siding. The collision caused a lump of coal to fall from the waggon upon Thomas Davies’ foot, and his ankle was so bruised that he was unable to follow his employment. In a little while ulcers made their appearance on his arm; but he was certified as fit for work on 16th December, 1907. He had however to give up, work again on the 8th March, 1908, and on the 12th he died from septic poisoning.
