- Details of Event
- Killed by a fall of roof in a road. It appears that a new horse was working in this road. It is said have been quiet but stupid or strange to underground work that in turning round it knocked a couple of pairs of timber which the roof down. The timbers in a road should be wedged or strained so tightly that a horse in turning round could not knock them out and the officials should see that this is done.
