- Fall of roof at face, cliff, 6.75 feet by 7 feet by 22 inches thick, fell from between two slants as he was cutting out a flat, which had become too low. The flat had not supported this stone, so I presume it was the concussion of the hatchet blows which caused it to fall. Had he examined it by sounding he would in all probability, have found that it was quite loose. Little vein.
