- Deceased, who had acted as a driver for about six weeks, was taking 5 full tubs outbye on a slightly rising gradient the road being of ample width and height and the way good. He was sitting on the limbers when last seen alive. The deputy found his set standing the pony still hung on, but the first tub was off the rails with all its wheels and had run for some feet and was considerably to one side of the road deceased was fastened by the feet between the derailed tub and a prop and his head was badly crushed. The wheels and axles of the derailed tub were in good order and there was nothing to be seen that would account for the accident. He may have been driving too fast. The Local Inspectors reported that they found it a pure accident.
