The two deceased were taking out bars for the purpose of raising the height of a wide told at a junction and the first bar they released had undoubtedly been carrying a great strain, for, as soon as it was loose, an area of some 25 feet by 20 feet collapsed, bringing with it several long roof bars and stone above them. Both men were buried. One of them was killed on the spot and the other lived a month longer. Both were experienced men who had acted according to their best judgement. 2 killed.
