Fall of roof in road. While riding in an empty tram drawn by a horse the horse struck out a collar supporting the roof, causing a fall of stones which suffocated the lad before he could be got out of the tram. The haulier was a collier, and was acting as a haulier that day owing to the absence of the regular man. The lad accompanied the haulier to show where sprags were required to be used in the tram wheels. Five feet seam. Safety lamps.
