Details of Event
Deceased, who was working a hand pump, lost light, borrowed another, and was walking out to the lamp station, when he met the empty journey and was run over. He was found within four feet of a manhole. He sustained a compound, fracture of one leg, which necessitated amputation. Several of his ribs were also fractured. He died on January 8, 1908.
