Inspection made and inquest attended. Danson was barring down loose stones at a point about 35 feet from quarry sole when an unexpected rush of the loose material caught him. He apparently slipped when trying to get out of the way and rolling down the slope was crushed by one of the large stones (about 2 tons weight) which followed him down and killed him on the spot.
