- Details of Event
- He was engaged putting up timber in an engine-plane, but wanted the help of the runrider, and was waiting for him, when a stone 4ft. by 2ft. by 15ins. thick fell from the roof on to him. The stone was part of the roof which projected from the side and was loose towards the middle of the engine-plane. After it had fallen, two joints were visible from between which the stone had fallen. It is unfortunate that he did not realise that the stone was so unsecured, as, apparently, he might easily have discovered its actual state by ‘jowling.’.
