15 December 1935: Fatal Accident In Fife Pit - Adam Arnott (28) , miner, 88 South Avenue, Blairhall, Fife, was fatally injured in the Coltness Iron Company's Blairhall Colliery yesterday morning. He was at work in the north mine, Mynheer section. A new cable was being fitted to the roof when part of it fell upon him, fracturing his skull and causing other injuries, from which he succumbed shortly afterwards.
