He was employed at one of the tipplers and, in removing a piece of coal from between the bearer and the back end of the tippler, put his foot upon the wooden covering of the bevel gearing which drives the tippler. This covering merely rested on the flat sheets and it slipped away and allowed his foot to get in between the cog-wheel and it was dragged off. Died in Leeds Infirmary a few hours afterwards.
