Deceased was holing the coal. at the face in the Hollin Seam when a stone fell from a pot hole in the roof and fractured his skull. The fall displaced one prop and disclosed a smooth parting. The fireman, who had inspected the pace previous to the accident found the lace well timbered and saw nothing to indicate danger.
