The accident occurred at the working face in the main seam, and was caused by a piece of coal 7ft long 7ft. high and 3ft. deep suddenly bursting off an unseen line of fault, accompanied by a heavy "bump." Three sprags and three props were discharged. Deceased was buried by the fall and severely injured. Died same day.
