- A small stone fell down the shaft from a tram which was being banked rebounding from something in its descent struck his neck. He lay idle until the 10th July when he resumed work and continued until the 3rd. November. Paralysis of the throat developed and he died on the 18th November. The doctor attributed death to the effects of the accident.
