17 May 1933: Fatal result of accident - Matthew Cook, Union Street, Kelty, who was injured by a shot going off while he was working as a brusher in the Aitken pit, Kelty, on Wednesday, died in the Dunfermline and West Fife Hospital yesterday. He is survived by a widow and child. His brother, Alexander, lost his life through an accident in the same colliery on 29th January last. [20th May 1933]
