- Deceased went into the goaf behind the timber at his working place before commencing work and was instantly killed by a heavy fall of roof. He had apparently gone there for a private purpose. The goaf was upstanding when inspected by a deputy within the previous two hours, No timber was brought down by the fall. Sanitary conveniences were provided in the mine and deceased passed them when going in to his working place.
